Verify your first responder status
If you've already joined, visit our first responder verification page to confirm your status within 45 days. You may be required to submit documentation proving your first responder affiliation. You'll also need to re-verify your status once a year.
Present verification at activation & re-verify when requested; otherwise your plan will become Go 5G or Go 5G Plus at an additional cost of up to $20/line per month. The First responder must be the account holder, and the account must maintain a valid first responder line.
Got Questions?
-
T-Priority is the only solution built for the 5G era that can dynamically dedicate up to 10x the capacity for first responders in times of extreme congestion. Built on
T-Mobile 's 5G Standalone Core, the network slice ensures first responders get lower latency and faster 5G speeds more consistently. Plus, it is the highest priority across every single 5G band. -
For a limited time, first responders who activate a Go5G™ First Responder plan can add our T-Priority network slice at no additional charge (a $7.50/month value) as long as they stay on an eligible plan. And existing first responder customers on any legacy First Responder plan get the same deal when they sign up via the T-Life app or My
T-Mobile . First responders who activate a new Essentials™ First Responder plan can add T-Priority for $7.50/month. -
To enjoy the full benefits of America’s first network slice for first responders, the verified first responder (primary account holder) must:
- Activate on an eligible plan.
- Add T-Priority via the T-Life app.
- Use a compatible device (check compatibility) with 5G standalone settings enabled in an area with 5G standalone network coverage. (look for 5G Ultra Capacity).
- Enroll in Wireless Priority Service.
T-Mobile automatically enrolls the primary account holder when T-Priority is added.
-
Here’s how it works. Think of the slice like a traffic cop. It’s always directing network traffic to ensure first responders have the best possible experience. It ensures they get lower latency and faster 5G speeds more consistently for data-intensive communications tools—giving them up to five times the network resources of the average user.
-
Wireless Priority Service (WPS) supports public safety and first responders who maintain our nation’s critical infrastructure or respond to national security and disaster situations. WPS is administered by the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a division of the Department of Homeland Security.
T-Mobile is an authorized service provider of WPS.
For primary account holders on any First Responder plan that adds T-Priority, we automatically register their voice line for WPS through the CISA—at no additional charge. -
The WPS government program prioritizes 4G/LTE. T-Priority offers voice and data priority on 5G SA, which has increased network speeds, reliability, bandwidth, and security.
